The leaders of Georgian Dream are still waiting for an explanation from the Danish Embassy, why Mikheil Saakashvili’s banner was found at the meeting sponsored by them.

As the Speaker of the Georgian Parliament said today, “if a photo of a Danish criminal had been exhibited, I am sure they would have considered it their own business and made explanations, but the issue concerns the Georgian people and they don’t bother with explanations”.

“At the “Festival of Authoritarianism”, funded by a foreign country, radical parties engage in pre-election agitation. The pre-election process is grossly violated. Providing a platform for the pre-election campaign with foreign funding is a direct interference in the election process.

On the other hand, we saw Mikheil Saakashvili’s banners and his advertising. Crime is romanticized in such pre-election campaign meetings.

If there was a photo of a Danish criminal on display there, I am sure they would consider it their business and make explanations. But the issue concerns the Georgian people and they don’t bother with explanations for them”, - said Shalva Papuashvili.
