The Prime Minister of Georgia highlighted the momentous character of the October 26 parliamentary elections by saying that it would be a “decisive election, a decisive referendum” between war and peace.

“The United National Movement [UNM] should be tried so that Georgia had a bright European future. Our political system cannot develop under the conditions of the UNM being in opposition, and the Georgian Dream would be able to solve this problem in case of securing a constitutional majority.

It should be noted once again that in the conditions of securing a constitutional majority, we will be able to finally solve the national problem of our country, which is related to the fact that the democratic political system cannot develop in the country under the conditions of the UNM being in opposition.

Therefore, we need to qualitatively improve our system. Declaring the UNM unconstitutional is fundamentally important in order to establish a healthy democratic system in Georgia once and for all”, - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
