Children will receive new toys and other methodological materials from September. Such a statement made today the Mayor of Tbilisi.

“Tbilisi kindergartens are actively preparing for the 2024-2025 educational year. Currently, 12 buildings of Tbilisi Kindergarten are being renovated, and at the beginning of the new educational year, the children of these kindergartens will be greeted with updated interiors, facades and outdoor spaces.

In three kindergartens, yard infrastructure restoration works are underway, and 11 kindergarten buildings are being rehabilitated. In 115 kindergartens, small and medium-scale renovation works are underway, which involves the renovation of educational groups, yard attractions, kitchen and storage spaces.

For these projects, more than 8 million GEL is spent from the budget of Tbilisi Kindergarten Management Agency.

There are news in terms of updating the methodological inventory - children will receive new toys and other methodological materials from September, for which one million GEL was spent from the agency’s budget.

Also, I will remind the residents of the capital that the new educational year will begin in Tbilisi kindergartens on September 16. Three new and two rehabilitated kindergartens will be opened this year.

The aim of these projects is both to create new places and to reduce the overcrowding of groups in existing kindergartens. This process will continue in the future”, - said Kakha Kaladze.
