Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze met with Saeed Amidi, Founder of the Amidi Group and Plug and Play, the latter being one of the largest startup accelerators in the world.
The conversation at the meeting revolved around Georgia’s favorable investment environment and the country’s investment potential across a variety of directions. Georgia’s leading positions in international rankings were highlighted.
The issue of opening a technological hub in the former building of the Parliament in Kutaisi was discussed, alongside the Amidi Group’s and Plug Play’s prospective involvement.
Emphasis was placed on Georgia’s function as a regional hub. In this context, the conversation touched on the Middle Corridor initiative and Georgia’s cardinal role in this project.
The parties also discussed IT projects carried out with support from the Georgian Government, also the country’s potential in this direction.
