According to Kaja Kallas, the EU should continue to pressure the Georgian Government

We are discussing what more we can do concerning Georgia to exert real pressure on the government to refrain from using violence against protesters, stop suppressing the opposition, and send a very strong signal from the European Union. Such a statement the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy made in Brussels ahead of the European Council meeting.

“During Monday’s Foreign Affairs Council meeting, no agreement was reached on sanctions against Georgia, but efforts must continue on this matter”, - added Kaja Kallas.
