Starting from September 1, Tbilisi City Hall will provide funding for the high-cost medication ACTEMRA, used in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. Such a statement made today the Mayor of the capital.
“It was one of our pre-election promises to provide materialized vouchers to obtain this expensive medication. I consider this a highly important decision. Individuals registered in the Unified Database of Socially Vulnerable Families, whose rating score does not exceed 150,000, will receive full, 100% coverage for the medication.
For all other eligible citizens who require this treatment, the municipality will offer 80% co-financing. To obtain the materialized voucher needed for funding and to undergo full treatment with the medication, citizens must submit the necessary documentation to the Municipal Department of Healthcare and Social Services”, - said Kakha Kaladze.
