Chairperson of the Parliament’s Temporary Investigative Commission examining crimes committed by the former United National Movement Government between 2003 and 2012, said that the Commission’s findings were important, as the document compiles all the facts and actions carried out by the UNM, Mikheil Saakashvili, and other individuals from November 2003 up to the present day.
“The conclusion presents facts rather than just the Commission’s assessments. This is the document that anyone, regardless of age - and I sincerely hope young people will read it - will see what was happening in our country, what the facts were, not just the opinions of individual members or the Commission itself.
Here, I would say, chronologically, are the relevant facts and information of our recent history compiled into one document, and that alone is what gives this document its value.
I also hope that this document will be useful to the relevant investigative bodies for gathering additional information in various directions, as well as to the appropriate courts and NGOs tasked with conducting genuine analysis and research, using it in the interest of their homeland and state.
Such NGOs, which do exist and need strengthening, will also find this material valuable”, - said Tea Tsulukiani.
