Mayor of Tbilisi announced that "Tbilisoba" will be held this year on September 20 - 21. The decision to mark the celebration earlier than usual is linked to the upcoming local elections scheduled for October 4.
According to Kakha Kaladze, the festivities will once again center around Orbeliani Square and Rike Park, offering visitors a rich two-day program of cultural, entertainment, and family-oriented events.
“On September 20, the State Palace of Ceremonies will traditionally host an award ceremony for honorable Tbilisi residents, which will be broadcast on television. On September 21, a gala concert will be held on Europe Square.
As for the other events, on both days, exhibitions, theatrical, entertainment and children`s programs will be presented on Orbeliani Square. On September 20-21, an exhibition-sale "Tbilisi Diversity" will be held in Abanotubani, while children`s performances and a gala concert with the participation of Georgian pop artists will be held in Rike Park.
On September 21, at 20:00, on Europe Square, as I have already told you, the gala concert "Tbilisoba" will begin", - said Kakha Kaladze.
As he added, the municipality will provide further details about the program in the coming days.
