Law enforcement officers foiled the import of an especially large amount of narcotics into Georgia

As a result of jointly conducted operational measures and investigative actions, officers of the Central Criminal Police Department of the MIA and the Customs Department of the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance detained A.V., a citizen of Armenia, born in 1984, on charges of illegal purchase and storage of an especially large amount of narcotics and illegal import into Georgia.

The committed crime envisions up to 20 years or life imprisonment.

Law enforcement officers, as a result of a detailed inspection of the vehicle operated by the accused person at the Sadakhlo border checkpoint, seized an especially large amount of the narcotic drug "Clephedrone", amounting to one kilogram of as evidence.

The investigation is in progress under Articles 260 and 262 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
