The planned New Year`s Eve events will be held at First Republic Square for 27 days. Mayor of Tbilisi announced this at today`s session of the municipality government.
"From December 12 to January 7, Tbilisi City Hall is planning a variety of entertaining and spectacular events. Thematically arranged New Year`s spaces will traditionally be filled with cultural, educational, children`s, various thematic activities and concerts of different genres", - said Kakha Kaladze.
According to him, the central Christmas tree will also be lit on December 12.
"On December 12, along with the lighting of the central Christmas tree, New Year`s illuminations will be lit throughout the city, and the First Republic Square, specially decorated for the holiday, will host Tbilisi residents and guests from December 12. Once again, I would like to call on representatives of private companies and the business sector to traditionally take care of creating the New Year`s look of our city together, both in the "New Year`s Village" and in squares and parks throughout the city", - added the Mayor.
