The Strasbourg Court has found actions of national courts and National Bureau of Enforcement in case “Jashi v. Georgia” in compliance with European Convention. Such a statement was released by the Ministry of Justice.

“The case concerned events that took place between 2016 and 2021 and concerned the complaint of Ketevan Jashi, a professor dismissed from one of the universities, who alleged that a decision in her favour, which determined her reinstatement to the position she held before her dismissal, had not been enforced at the national level.

Despite the above-mentioned claims, the Strasbourg Court unequivocally confirmed that the national courts and the National Bureau for Enforcement acted with due diligence and took the necessary measures to ensure the enforcement of the decision that had entered into force. During the enforcement process, the applicant was offered a reasonable alternative solution, which she refused.

Today’s judgment of the Strasbourg Court unequivocally confirmed that the national courts and the National Bureau for Enforcement conducted the proceedings in full compliance with the standards of the European Convention”, - reads the statement.
