Essential non-food products have been added to the electronic portal www.ekalata.gov.ge. Starting today, in addition to 13 basic food items, consumers can view the best offers on 10 basic non-food products as well. The new category includes personal hygiene and household goods.

The government-initiated portal currently features 477 offers from 13 leading supermarket chains.

"Ten basic non-food items, which are highly important for every citizen`s daily use, have been added to the portal. These include various types of household chemicals and personal hygiene products.

Every day, the portal features approximately 400 to 500 of the best offers from 13 supermarket chains. This allows consumers to compare prices for both food and non-food products on a daily basis", - said Irakli Lekvinadze, Chairman of the Georgian Competition and Consumer Protection Agency.
