Officers of Old Tbilisi Police Main Division of Tbilisi Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested two people on charges of robbery committed in group with violence.

The investigation established that the accused persons physically assaulted a foreign citizen on one of the streets in Tbilisi, stole mobile phones and money, and fled the scene afterwards.

As a result of immediate operational measures and investigative actions carried out by law enforcement officers, two perpetrators of the crime were arrested. Active investigative actions continue in connection with the fact.

The investigation is underway under Article 178 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, envisioning the imprisonment for a term of up to 8 years.
