"Tbilisi City Hall is implementing the “Breast Cancer Medication Funding” program. Statistics have shown that its effectiveness is quite high - 97% of beneficiaries diagnosed at an early stage have been cured.

The aforementioned program of the Health and Social Services Department aims to prolong and save the lives of citizens diagnosed with HER-2 positive locally advanced (Stage I–III) and metastatic breast cancer.

The most important factor in the fight against this disease is timely detection, as human life and health often depend on early diagnosis. Health is the greatest value, and it is our obligation to ensure that people have access to timely diagnosis and treatment.

Within the framework of the program, expensive medications are fully financed for all beneficiaries.

To receive the relevant service, a Georgian citizen must have been continuously registered in the Tbilisi Municipality for the last two years, including at the time of enrollment in the program. To join the program, a citizen must apply to Tbilisi City Hall with an application and the relevant documentation, on the basis of which a guarantee letter will be issued for obtaining the medication from a pharmacy", - said Kakha Kaladze.
