436 in favor, 145 against - European Parliament adopts Rasa Jukneviciene`s report on Georgia

With 436 votes in favor and 145 against, the European Parliament has adopted a report on Georgia, drafted by rapporteur Rasa Juknevičienė.

The report calls for the introduction of targeted personal and visa sanctions against "Georgian Dream" officials, alongside restrictions aimed at certain media outlets.

Furthermore, the European Parliament’s resolution reiterates its call for the release of Mikheil Saakashvili, designating him a political prisoner.

The document maintains the European Parliament’s prior stance, which refuses to recognize the legitimacy of the Georgian Parliament and the President elected by it. Additionally, the report demands the repeal of the Law on family values.
