By the end of the year, a data review is planned for approximately 65,000 families. The Prime Minister of Georgia said this in the Parliament.
He responded to a question regarding the amount of savings generated from the review of social assistance recipients, noting that data verification for about 65,000 families is scheduled by year-end.
“Based on the current trend, savings are expected to reach 75 million GEL by the end of the year, though the process will continue thereafter. Currently, families have been selected based on specific criteria; subsequent verifications will cover all families and will proceed in stages. The estimated savings by the end of the year will be 75 million GEL”, - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
In response to lawmakers’ questions, he also highlighted that, overall, 45,000 internally displaced families have been provided with housing since 2012.
