Georgia`s Ambassador to Germany said that German President was a "friend and supporter of Georgia", after presenting his credentials to the German leader.

As Aleksandre Kartozia noted, Frank-Walter Steinmeier had reaffirmed his appreciation for Georgia during their meeting and spoke about the longstanding relationship between Georgia and Germany.

"The German President can be described as a friend and supporter of Georgia, and he reaffirmed this during today`s meeting.

He said that whenever he had visited Georgia, he had always felt what we often speak about, the long history and unique character of Georgian-German relations, as well as Georgians` special appreciation for German culture, the German language, and Germany in general

Therefore, I believe we have reason to expect positive developments in this regard", - said the Ambassador.
