Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of Georgia met representatives of fintech companies as part of his working visit to Singapore.
During the roundtable discussion, the Head of Government of Georgia highlighted the strategic location of the country and its unique role in enhancing regional and intercontinental connectivity. He also emphasized Georgia’s business-friendly environment, liberal tax system, predictable legislative framework and macroeconomic stability, noting that these factors create favourable conditions for long-term investment.
Irakli Kobakhidze also spoke about Georgia’s strong economic growth, leading positions of the country in international rankings and the rapid development of its financial sector. He noted that these achievements provide a solid foundation for introducing new financial services and fostering long-term partnerships between the business communities of Georgia and Singapore.
The Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development delivered a presentation on Georgia's investment opportunities.
The Prime Minister of Georgia also answered questions from representatives of the business community of Singapore.
The meeting was attended by representatives of nearly 30 leading fintech companies from Singapore.
