Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of Georgia together with members of the Georgian delegation, met Eugene Gan, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Changi Airports International in Singapore.

The meeting focused on the rapid growth of Georgia's tourism and aviation sectors. It was noted that nearly 80 airlines currently operate in Georgia, offering flights to over 140 destinations worldwide.

The Prime Minister of Georgia spoke about the Government’s strategy for developing aviation infrastructure and the major investments being made to expand the country’s international airport infrastructure in response to growing passenger demand.

Particular attention was paid to the expansion of Tbilisi International Airport and the construction of a new international airport in Vaziani, designed to serve up to 20 million passengers annually. The new airport will further strengthen Georgia's role as a regional hub connecting Europe and Asia.

The meeting also explored prospects for cooperation with Changi Airports International, a global leader in airport development and management, including sharing expertise and enhancing airport development, management and operational efficiency.
