The Chairperson of the Central Election Commission (CEC), Giorgi Kalandarishvili, continues working meetings with District Election Commissions across the regions and is personally reviewing preparations for the October 3 elections.

Giorgi Kalandarishvili, together with CEC Secretary Giorgi Javakhishvili, held a working meeting with the leadership and full composition of the Vani District Election Commission.

The CEC Chairperson received a detailed overview of the activities and preparations carried out by the District Election Commission for the upcoming by-elections, as well as the work currently underway.

The meeting focused on the proper and consistent implementation of election-day procedures, the quality of voter services, and the assessment of the readiness at both district and precinct levels to ensure the smooth conduct of the electoral process.

The participants also discussed the training and professional development process for Precinct Election Commission members.

As the CEC Chairperson Giorgi Kalandarishvili noted, the October 3 elections, like all other by-elections and general elections, will be conducted at a high professional standard, and each election administrator must carry out their duties with a high degree of responsibility.

The working meeting at the Vani District Election Commission was also attended by CEC member Giorgi Dzagania, Head of the Election Processes Management Department Eka Tsabashvili, and Regional Coordinator Zviad Teneishvili.

It should be recalled that by-elections to the representative bodies (Sakrebulo) of the municipalities of Vani, Tsalka, Dmanisi and Akhmeta will be held on October 3. A total of seven polling stations will be opened for the by-elections, four of which will use electronic voter verification and vote-counting devices. Voters in the respective municipalities will elect four majoritarian members of the municipal Sakrebulos.
