Nikoloz Samkharadze, Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee, participated in the international forum “New Era”, organized by the Svetozar Miletić Foundation and held in Serbia.

As part of the Forum, Nikoloz Samkharadze participated in a discussion on “Sovereignty and Traditional Family Values — Foundations of a Stable Society.”

The discussion addressed the challenges facing modern society amid rapid geopolitical, economic and social changes.

The Forum participants spoke about the importance of national sovereignty as one of the key foundations of political freedom and democratic accountability. They also discussed the important role of family and traditions in maintaining social cohesion. The international forum was attended by Members of the European Parliament and members of the parliaments of Hungary, Romania, Slovakia and Serbia, members of the US Congress, as well as representatives of academic and think-tank communities from Europe and the United States.
