The appointment of the former government officials in Ukraine may lead to personnel changes in the diplomatic mission. The majority does not rule out that personnel policy in the embassies will be revised. Ukraine where the Prime Minister is scheduled to visit is expected to be the first in.
The ruling team is criticizing 2-year activities of a former Foreign Minister because of appointments in Ukraine. However, the Chairman of the Foreign Relation Committee ,does not consider necessary to change Ambassador Mikhail Ukleba. Tedo Japaridze believes that the Foreign Ministry is more responsible for the appointment of former government officials in Ukraine than a diplomat. So Japaridze does not see any reason to change Ukleba.
Zviad Jankarashvili is unofficially named as a possible successor to Ambassador Ukleba. According to unconfirmed reports, the "Georgian Dream" Executive Secretary is going to Kiev on a special mission prior to the Prime Minister"s visit .
