The US. Senate reveals the report on CIA actions

The Report of the US Senate says that that CIA  used harsh techniques to interrogate " terror" Suspects after 9/11 attacks. According to the document the interrogations of CIA were ineffective and never produced information that led to foiling of " imminent terror threat".

The report says that humiliation and physical abuse have been used as the methods by CIA. Reportedly these methods were used against 119 detainees.

" I know from personal experience that the abuse of prisoners will produce more bad than good intelligence. I know that victims of torture will offer intentionally misleading information if they think their captors will believe it. I know they will say whatever they think their torturers want them to say if they believe it will stop their suffering. " – John  McCain stated.

The US President also commented on the report . He underlined that now the main thing is to admit the mistakes and work on prevention of such actions in the future.

" I hope that today’s report can help us leave these techniques where they belong - in the past. Today is also a reminder that upholding the values we profess doesn’t make us weaker, it makes us stronger and that the United States of America will remain the greatest force for freedom and human dignity that the world has ever known," Barak Obama said.

After  the publication of the report, the US had tightened security at its embassies across the globe.
