“NATO is not an enemy for  Russia, "- Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov," said in an interview to “France 24 ". But he has also confirmed that according to military doctrine,  Russia perceives  the alliance"s military infrastructure in the east as a threat.

He said that  NATO initiated the rupture of relations with Russia and the only format that is currently maintained is the NATO-Russia Council.  the foreign minister was asked a question about the sanction, to which Lavrov responded saying  that Russia will survive this pressure and become even stronger. Lavrov accused the US Congressmen in  Russophobia  in connection with the adoption of Ukraine Freedom Support Act .
