In Kiev, the Ukrainian President hosted his Belarus counterpart. Petro Poroshenko, Alexander Lukashenko expressed hope that talks with pro-Russian separatists in the framework of Minsk format will be restored in the near future.

 "I especially want to thank you for the clear position of Belarus and support of Ukraine"s sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrit. You did not recognize the recent elections in the breakaway regions of Ukraine and I want to express my gratitude towards you," - told Poroshenko his Belarussian counterpart.

For his part, President of Belarus noted that the official Minsk is ready to play a role of mediator. "It had previously told you, and I say again: If there is anythings that you need from Belarus, just tell me. We"ll do it in 24 hours. For us, this is not a game. We are neighbors. Brotherly people. They say that Lukashenko is afraid. I have nothing to fear," - Lukashenko said.
