Gia Tsertsvadze requested political asylum in Ukraine

Georgian soldier, Giorgi Tsertsvadze, asked Ukraine for political asylum.

This information was confirmed to Rustavi 2 by Gia Tsetsvadze in a telephone conversation. Tsertsvadze said that his lawyer had filed a request for political asylum in the relevant ministry .

Tsertsvadze said that consideration of the application deadline expires on February 25, and by this time the authorities have to decide whether to grant him the status . The lawyers said that at present the most optimal for the sake of Gia Tsertsvadze security is staying in Ukraine and hope that the asylum issue will be resolved positively.
