The Prosecutor"s Office confirms that an investigation was launched based on an application of the Supreme court Judges - Paata Karamadze and Besarion Alavidze on January 14.
According to the official information, the investigation has been launched on the alleged and pressure on judges.

However, the Prosecutor"s Office does not comment on details of the case, therefore remains unknown details of the Judges" application.

Kakhaber Sophromadze, a member of the Supreme Council of Justice comments on the issue. He states that he has not been informed on alleged pressure.

" It is the prerogative of the investigation and, therefore, it should definitely be investigated. No pressure -neither positive nor negative are acceptable. If there was any kind of pressure, the Prosecutors" Office should start investigation,"- said Kakhaber Sophromadze.
