The public sector has no hope for an objective investigation of secret phone records by law enforcement officials. Young lawyers say, it would have been better if the Prosecutor"s Office would investigate the case instead of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Because,as they said, in the current situation it is a more neutral body.

Non-governmental organizations are talking about manipulation with illegally obtained recordings by the state.

"Impartiality requires that the case be investigated by the institution which has no interest. Prosecutor"s Office is a more neutral bodyin this situation and it should be caarying out the aforementioned investigation, "- said the Levan Vepkhvadze from the Georgian Young Lawyers Association.
