The family of the detained cleric, Father Giorgi Mamladze make no comments in connection with his arrest. They said they were not aware of the incident.

The first comments on Rustavi2 were made by the Archpriest of Batumi St. Barbara church, Shio Paichadze. According to him , Deacon Giorgi was very fond of His Holiness and the Patriarch trusted him.The detained Father Giorgi was a priest in the church of St. Barbara as well.
