Investigators arrive to the prison to meet with Deacon Giorgi Mamaladze

Representatives of the Prosecutors" Office will meet the Archpriest Giorgi Mamaladze today. According to Courier, the investigators plan to visit him at the 6th penitentiary facility.

Father Giorgi Mamaladze is in a prison for high risk prisoners.

Human Rights activists are already in the prison. At the moment deacon Giorgi Mamaladze meets Human Rights Center lawyer.
His lawyer plans to visit Giorgi Mamaladze as well.

"We want to find out if Giorgi Mamaladze"s rights are protected. He has been transported to the 6th facility, which is designated for high-risk prisoners .
I can not say that his rights are violated. However the fact that the defense has not made any announcement about protection of this person, what arguments do that have. He does not plead guilty. Therefore we are obliged to find out it any violation takes place,"- says Eka Lomidze, a lawyer from Human rights Center.
