Soso Osurauli, a Georgian pilot, has been kept in captivity by Congolese rebels almost for a monthThe M-23 rebels ask for a million dollars for his release.As the Western media reported, the pilot has been held hostage since January 27, when rebels shot down two Congo Air Force helicopters.

Soso Osurauli was a pilot of one of helicopters.. According to the Ministry of Defense, they have not sent Osurauli to Congo. Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been involved in the negotiations.

"We will do our best to have our citizens released," - said Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of South Africa, Beka Dvali.

He refrained from revealing details in the interests of the captured pilot`s security.
