A message from NATO Secretary General - Jens Stoltenberg talks about Georgia`s prospects of joining the alliance. According to him, Georgia continues to implement successful reforms and enhance the country`s defense capabilities, which is part of the NATO membership process.

The NATO Secretary General confirmed that the Alliance would continue to expand. Accordingly, aspirant countries have a real chance to become members of the organization.

In June, another member, Montenegro, will join NATO and the Alliance will be represented by 29 countries.

On the issue of Georgia and other countries, Jens Stoltenberg has once again pointed to Russia that NATO door is open and the decision on NATO expansion is to be made by the applicant countries and members states and nobody has the right to interfere with this right.

Stoltenberg made these statements during the visit to the United States.
