Representative of Marneuli Governor was detained on bribery charges

A representative of Marneuli Governor has been detained on fact of bribery in Municipality of Marneuli. According to the information provided by the State Security Service, the investigation found that Mr. Kashamkaraev promised to citizens of the Republic of Georgia and the Republic of Nepal to assist and get a certificate of appellations of origin for the production of 50 tonnes of agricultural products, which would indicate fake data.

According to the agency, Kasham Karayev demanded 5500 GEL as a bribe for assistance.

Investigation is in progress on bribery, which imposes a sentence of 6 to 9 years imprisonment.
