The Georgian office of the Council of Europe has officially launched a project, which envisages support for judicial reform in Georgia. The event is attended by the Minister of Justice, Chairperson of the Supreme Court, as well as representatives of relevant agencies and international organizations.
Eka Beselia, the Chairman of the Legal Issues Committee, speaks about progress in the judiciary system .
"We all agree that after the three-stage reform process the process will not stop and the new stage will continue. International support will be very important at this stage, "said Eka Beselia.
Nino Gvenetadze, the Chairman of the Supreme Court of Georgia speaks about the issues discussed at the presentation.
" These are the most important issues - appointment of judges, lifetime re-appointment,"- says Nino Gvenetadze.
