2 dead and 200 injured - strong earthquake has struck Aegean Sea. Rescue operations are under way in Turkey"s Marine Resort Bodrum and on the Greek island of Kos.

According to seismologists,the 6.7-magnitude quake hit 12kmnorth-east of Kos, near the Turkish coast, with a depth of 10km. Kos was nearest to the epicenter of the quake and appeared to be the worst hit.

The earthquake was followed by damage in Turkey"s popular resort. According to official sources, the number of injuries reaches 100.

Most of the hotels on the coastline of Kos and Bodrum are flooded .
