Vepkhvia Ghvaladze, who blames relatives of the former Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili of pressure, goes on hunger strike with his family in front of the US Embassy. Gvaladze demands a political asylum .

According to him, he and his 10-years old child are threatened by member of the so-called Kakhetian clan. He speaks about the incident, which took place four years ago. According to Vepkhia Gvaladze, he was physically assaulted by relatives of Zviad Jankharashvili and Ioseb Kadagidze.

Investigation started on the incident but it has not yet been completed. Gvaladze applied to the Prosecutor"s Office about a month ago. Several days later, the plaintiff claimed that he was attacked by a masked man who threatened to harm his family. Vepkhvia Gvaladze claims that the former prime minister protects the guilty.
