The death of 31-year-old Levan Tokoshashvili, a resident of the Pankisi Gorge in Syria, is confirmed by the State Security Service.

According to Mate Kavtarashvili, the deputy governor of Akhmeta Municipality, he lived with his family in Syria for about five years and died during an air strike, along with his wife and four children.

"For 5 years, he lived with his family in Syria. Today the family received unfortunate information that the family was moving in a car and after the air raid, all the family members were killed. iincluding 3 and 5-year- old children and his wife "- said Mate Kavtarashvili.

It should be noted that it became known a few months ago in the Pankisi Gorge that the deceased and his were members of the extremist Islamic group in Syria.
