The speech delivered by Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili during the nomination of majoritarian MP candidates wascalled by the opposition "infantile self-confidence".
Irakli Abesadze, a member of the Parliamentary Minority of the Movement for Freedom, says that it is unfortunate that Giorgi Kvirikshvili does not know what is the treshold for party majoritarian candidates in self-governance elections.
"This is an attempt to increase infantile self confidence. We all saw that the absolute majority of majoritarian candidates of the Georgian Dream could not overcome the 50% threshold and since then the support to the Georgian Dream by people, of course, has decreased. When a Prime Minister makes such a mistake at an important event, it is hilarious, "- said Irakli Abesadze.
Irakli Nadiradze, chairperson of the City Council United National Movement faction says that he does not know whether the prime minister is ignorant or is attempting to deceive the public.
