Threats and Cyber Attacks Against "Rustavi 2" - after receiving information about possible cyber attack on Rustavi 2, problems started on the company`s web site "rustavi2.ge". The web site was closed several times during the day and its functioning was hindred.

The notification has already been submitted to the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The investigative actions are going on at Rustavi 2 premises.

The law enforcers study the notifications that preceded the attack on the web site, which came to the official Facebook page of "Rustavi 2".

According to Nodar Meladze, head of the Rustavi 2 news service, a threat was sen to the social network, after which rustavi2.ge became an object of the cyber attack.

According to Meladze, he was contacted by the MIA Criminal Police Department of Cybercrime and was told that they would get involved in the case and study the messages posted on Facebook.

According to the head of the Rustavi 2 news service, despite the cyber attacks, the database of the website, the archive is fully maintained and currently the site is operating in the usual way.
