The President of Georgia responds to the destruction of IDPs" homes financed by the Russian Federation in the occupied village of Eredvi. According to Giorgi Margvelashvili, destruction of IDPs" homes is aimed to erase thetraces of the tragedy of the Georgian population.

The statement of the president`s administration:

"In occupied territories where ethnic cleansing has been carried out, occupational force is carrying out another vandalism directed towards the territorial integrity of Georgia and fundamental human rights.
In the occupied village of Eredvi, the Russian Federation finances the destruction of the IDPs` homes, aimed at erasing the traces of the Georgian population from this indigenous territory.

"This is a continuation of the 2008 ethnic cleansing policy and action directed towards annexation of the occupied territories, which is a crime before the peaceful population, which the international community should give a strict assessment of ," -the President said in a statement.
