Ruling team waiting for president`s response - Opposition assesses Georgian Dream`s offer as recruiting attempt
Will the President accept the proposal of the ruling team? The parliamentary majority is waiting for Giorgi Margvelashvili`s decision. The majority is going to annule the decision on undistributed mandates and to keep the election blocs for the 2020 parliamentary elections.

Irakli Kobakhidze asks the president to present these two issues as motivated remarks.

"We will once again try to convince him that two of the suggested issues can be included within the veto and we will simplify the procedure and simultaneously solve the issues agreed with the Venice Commission. These are issues that wereacceptable not only for the Venice Commission but also for the Georgian political opposition spectrum, the non-governmental sector, including the people who criticized the new constitution, "- Mamuka Mdinaradze said.

In the opposition, the Georgian Dream"s proposal is assessed as an attempt to recruit the president. According to the MPs, the majority do not want to give up important issues.

The opposition  parties request from the president to use veto on the package of amendments and accuse the ruling party of adopting a one-party constitution.

According to the prognosis of the opposition, the reformed constitution will not work in reality and the issue of changes will be raised again in the nearest future.
