The violation of the Constitution of Georgia - this is how the members of the National Movement assesses not allowinmg the parliamentarians and opposition representatives in the city council.

Today the debate took place during bureau session between the opposition and the majority regarding the fact that MPs were not allowed to attend the City Council session where the issue of land transfer to Bidzina Ivanishvili was approved.

The members of the European Georgia demanded explanations from the majority members and the Chairman of the Parliament on this issue.

Representatives of the opposition claimed that the city Council administration violated the Constitution of Georgia by not allowing MPs to enter the session.

In addition, the minority representatives requested that the Minister of Internal Affairs, Giorgi Mgebrishvili be summoned to the Parliament and make clarifications before the legislative body regarding the reasons based on which the police officers were not allowed to enter the City Council premises.

"There was no reason to close the session," - said Elene Khoshtaria.

The majority claim that the opposition`s objective was to disrupt the session, which the Georgian Dream lawmakers did not allow.

"You have announced in advance that you intend to dirupt the City Council session," - said the member of the majority, Archil Talakvadze, to the opposition members.

Roman Gotsiridze, a member of the National Movement, says that there was no case in the history of Georgia when MPs were not allowed to enter any state agency.

"Our regulations clearly say that MP has the right not only to enter, but to take part in the work of any self-governance agency ," - said Gotsiridze.
