Human Rights Defender Nana Kakabadze gives the Prosecutor"s Office a one-week deadline to start investigation and to question the president. It is about the scandalous testimony of former head of the Patriarch"s Security Soso Okhanashvili who spoke about the corrupt activities of the Pardon Commission.

Soso Okhanashvili directly said that prisoners` families paid in the Patriarchate for the pardon of the convicts. He named Eka Beselia, Nana Kakabadze and Irma Chkadua as main actors. According to Soso Okhanashvili, they are in close relationship with the secretary of the Patriarch Shorena Tetruashvili and participate in the compilation of the prisoners list to be pardoned.

The chairwoman of the legal committee does not want to talk about this issue and calls the information stupid. Nana Kakabadze, another person named by Soso Okhanashvili, believes that the head of the country should be interrogated within the scope of investigation, because eventually, Giorgi Margvelashvili takes the decision to paedon the prisoners.

As for Irma Chkadua, the lawyer requested to initiate a criminal case against journalists after the testimony of Soso Okhanashvili.

Soso Okhanashvili gave testimony two months ago, but the Prosecutor"s Office did not start investigation of the case yet.
