Rustavi 2 journalist Tengo Gogotishvili was not allowed into Ukraine. At this moment journalist remains in Kiev airport and is waiting for a return flight to Tbilisi.

After a six-hour wait, Ukrainian border guards handed over to Tengo Gogotishvili a document which says that he could not confirm the purpose of his trip to Kiev and that"s why was not allowed to enter the country..

According to Gogotishvili, the border service has given a different answer on the issue to the Georgian Consulate in Ukraine.

" They were told that I dd not have enough money in my pocket for a trip to Ukraine ... It was supposedly a formal reason, and the main reason was my journalistic activity. The Ukrainian authorities simply do not want a lot of things that are happening in Kiev today to be covered in media. Supposedly, the Ukrainian border service has some kind of black list, I do not know if I"m personally in this black list or if Rustavi 2 is in the blacklist as an undesirable TV company, but the fact is that I am not allowed to go to Ukraine today, "says Tengo Gogotishvili .

Rustavi 2"s cameraman Iago Gogolashvili was able to enter Ukraine without problems .

"I was what I came for, and I replied that I had come on a business trip. I was not asked anything else, "- Iago Gogolashvili said.
