"Georgia strongly supports sovereignty and territorial integrity,of Spain" reads the letter of the President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili, sent to King Philip VI of the Kingdom of Spain and Prime Minister Mariano Rachi.
"I want to express my special respect and support for the Kingdom of Spain, the central government and the Spanish people. Our nations’ centuries-old ties and common values represent solid foundation for successful relationship being developed by Georgia and the Kingdom of Spain. I would like to assure you that Georgia and the Georgian people firmly support the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Spain. The threat of separatism is well-known for our country. My country is fighting for the protection of sovereignty and territorial integrity since the day of independence. I am confident that the fundamental principles of international law and the unity of the international community will make it possible to regulate the existing problems. Let me reiterate my deep respect and wish you and the Spanish people peace and prosperity,"- the letter reads.
