Media freedom and changes in the electoral system In the Eastern Partnership countries were discussed at the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly held in Ukraine`s highest Rada. The sitting of the Committee on Political Issues, Human Rights and Democracy was attended by Georgian MPs.

"Once again, the importance of independent media for the existence of a free society and existence of democracy was underlined," - Tamar Khulordava, the Chairwoman of the Committee on European Integration, said.

The Committee approved the draft resolution on the state of media freedom in the European Union and Eastern European states. According to the member of "European Georgia" Sergi Kapanadze, issues related to electoral reform were also discussed.
