Economists call on the government to change the law on excise. Specialists say that the legislative shortcoming that regulates the cigarette excise fee, has damaged the country"s budget by 50 million in the last 9 months.

The fact is that tobacco producing companies sell the filter cigarettes in order to increase their profits. The reason is that the cigarette excise fee is lower for non filtered cigarettes . Accordingly, during the realization cigarette without filter are sold with a filter for which customers pay extra money.

It"s a new trick for producers to spend less money and profit more. In the budget, they pay only tax on cigarettes.

The government recogni loss of tens of millions of dollars, but does not do anything to correct the legislative flaw.
