Minister of Agriculture of Georgia ,Otar Danelia presented the development strategy to the diplomatic corps and representatives of donor organizations.
The document reflects the planned activities for 2015 - 2020. The strategy focuses on a few aspects, including food security and institutional development. The strategy provides for the implementation of obligations undertaken under the Association Agreement with the EU.
Joan Tanavie, the EU Attaché on agriculture spoke about significance of the development strategy.
"It is very important to develop a strategy for long-term agricultural development. It is necessary to implement the action plan in a coherent and timely manner, "- said Joan Tanavie.
