January 14 is the day of the flag of Georgia. The flag raising ceremony began at the presidential palace where Giorgi Margvelashvili raised up the national flag with children of national heroes - Giorgi Antsukhelidze and Zaza Damenia.

This flag was made several years ago by the initiative of the President of Georgia.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of various professions invited from different regions of Georgia.
The State Anthem was performed by Ensemble Shavnabada at the ceremony.

The state flag day was celebrated in Kakheti. Rescuers set up national flag at Ujarma Fortress.
