Georgian peacekeeping mission in unusual role - Georgian peacekeepers celebrated the new year with a concert on the Bagam aviation base in Afghanistan.

Georgian folklore, songs and dances were performed by the 31st Battalion of the III Infantry Brigade of the Armed Forces. The event commenced with a minute of silence dedicated to the memory of the Georgian soldiers killed for the motherland.

The New Year event continued with the award ceremony. Honorary diplomas have been handed over to Georgian and American military servicemen who have won in different trainings and sports events.
